ok i new this would happen i no stretch is old enough as he is over 1 year old now sparkles is just under a year not sure if she is old enough about 15 minutes ago stretch and sparkles was doing the nasty wich does surprise me as every time stretch went near sparkles she would hiss and try and nip at him but she was enjoying the whole thing now i did want both of them to pair up as stretches dad was lutino and his mom was cinnamon sparkles is a pearl and i forget what her parents were but i no lmy breeder will let me no as both stretch and sparkles came from her and yes they are not related at all my breeder made sure of that

So possible some babies in the future then. But they should be at least 18 months old before they are allowed to breed, especially the female who could suffer from health complications. :)

That's good. You know what you're doing! Next spring/summer she'll be ready to go. I think. They will probably get along better in the meantime!

ok as i was in the kitchen neading the dough for some home made rolls i could hear the same sound coming from the living room i went in and decided to have them out of the cage at seperate times as stretch was at it again but not all his fault she was willing

ok ounce i do let them breed wich won,t be till spring this is what they will have

Mother:pearl
Father:Grey Split To {X1: Lutino}

male offspring:
50% Grey Split To {X1: Lutino} {X2: Pearl}
50% Grey Split To {X2: Pearl}

female offspring:
50% Lutino
50% Grey

You know even with out a nest box they're is still a chance of them having eggs, right?

I find eggs on my floor often after 2 of mine mated (they didn't make good parents so i took them out of the breeding cage) I have Fostered their eggs with a hen who was also sitting on eggs.


But no nest box did not stop them (i have pictures to prove they don't care where they do it at) - They were doing it in front of a window with all of us (me , my kids and my b/f) in the room.

it got the point i had to separate all the males from the females (in the tiels and budgies) and let them out at separate times - they were mating too much and laying too many eggs on the floor, play gyms, cage floors
