Hi all,

Happy New Year to everyone here!

This is my second cockatiel and I just got it 3 days ago. It is about 1+ year old and I named him "Robin".
If I am correct, this is a male White Faced Pied Cockatiel. Please correct me if I am wrong.

It is extremely untamed. I thought he could be as friendly as my 1st Cockatiel, Pearlie but I am wrong.
He bites and bleed my palm on day 1. So I have to leave him alone in the cage. Unlike Pearlie, Robin only started eating today.

I hope he can be tamed given patience and lots of TLC.

Regards,

I would try getting him some cuttlebone and perches that have the sand paper on them to get that beak sanded down. It looks sharp. Can you open the cage and just let him wonder a bit? Maybe warm up to you? I would talk softly to him and try to gain his trust. Did you buy him not knowing if he was tame? He probably has an attitude about something in his past. :(
