Hi,

I've recently become the proud owner of a cockatiel and I'm loving it! I still don't know the gender nor age, so would be great if you all could help figure it out based on the pictures.

It recently starting getting on my finger whenever I show it food, but otherwise it pecks at my fingers. I am assuming it just requires more time before it is completely comfortable and stops packing?

Looks like a hen to me, and old enough to show visually, I'm no pro on birds, but my best guess based on the experience I do have would say female, normal gray mutation, and looks to be younger, perhaps 1-3 year timeframe? Either way, pretty bird and congrats!

Lovely little girl you have there. Hold a spray of millet in your fingers, and use the words, "Step-up" each time. She will soon learn to "step-up" to your hand.
