I've always wanted a bird, a cockatiel or budgie or anykind!! My parents said no but they knew I always wanted one, so when I was about to turn 17 years old I asked again for one, and the day came when i turned 17 and I went to open my presents and one of the presents was bird seed and I knew what that met, I am finnally getting a bird!! The next day we went to the Aviary a bird store in TN on May 20, 2005 and I picked out a lovely pearl cockatiel and named it Graystar that we thought was a boy but later on found out was a girl, the story doesn't end here!! Later on I thought I should add another cockatiel to my family and asked my dad and he said yes so about six months later in nov. 2005I got a female cinnamon pearl pied that I named Chiquita, Let me tell you now if you don't know already cockatiels or any bird are like potatoe chips can't just have one and I think I stood up to this rule!! About a year later I got a rehomed pied cockatiel named Popeye in june 2006 that is 11 years old and sometimes a pain in the finger as in biting!!! Later on I bred Popeye and Chiquita last year 2007 and they had 3 wonderful pearl pieds that were beautiful and I kept Vulture one of the babies that had his feathers plucked and they didn't grow back for 3 months. Popeye and Chiquita have 2 wonderful babies today in 2008 that are very pretty pearl pieds!! In April 2008 I got a beautiful cinnamon albino cockatiel that I named Ivory, that i will breed in the future... i love tiels and heres my family!! Thanks, Melissa & Graystar:tiel5: Chiquita:tiel5: Popeye:tiel4: Vulture:tiel1: Ivory:tiel3:

I've never heard of a Cinnamon Albino. Although I have recently learned that sometimes Cinnamon genes will bleed through if you cross a Lutino with a Cinnamon. When I hear Albino I'm thinking Whiteface Lutino. It would be interesting if the Cinnamon gene stayed in that combo. Should be a very pale tan I would guess. Do you have pictures?

Wow! I checked out your pics. Love your Videos too! I didn't think it was possible for a hen to be split for Cinnamon. I'm going to try that myself. I have a Lutino male and a Cinnamon whiteface hen. At first I will get all Lutino girls split for whiteface and all grey males but the males will be split for Cinnamon, Lutino, and Whiteface. The only thing I'm not real keen on is those red eyes on Lutinos and Whiteface Lutinos (Albinos). I'm hoping that if I breed one of my boys from that pair to another whiteface hen I will get some Whiteface Lutinos (Abinos). If I could end up with blue grey eyes I would be VERY pleased. You've got yourself a rare bird there. I hope I am as lucky.

Yeah I payed $65 for that rare bird and the breeder that hardly knew anything said shes not albino cause she doesn't have red eyes and I emailed a austrarian cockatiel breeder and asked her why Ivory has bluegrey eyes and she said she is a cinnamon albino or a albino split for cinnamon and that its not common and that she would sell for about $200 but I would never sell her but if I got babies out of her with bluegrey eyes than I would sell her babies for about $90-125 just depends what they look like!!! Thanks, melissa
