Hi everyone !! I am totally new to this forum . I’ve had cockatiels quite a few years ago but never one that is this young & there’s a lot of things I will do defferent this time around .
I plan on putting the cage in my living room against the mirrored wall next to my recliner . Will the mirror be too distracting for him/her ? If so, should I put a cover on the back of the cage so he can’t see himself all the time ? Or... just put the cage in a different area of the living room ? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated !!
Thanks so much 👍🏻👍🏻

Hello there and welcome to the forum! :)

In regards to the mirror, definitely put the cage in another area of the living room, mirrors can really confuse them and they quite often end up bonding to the reflection in the mirror which they believe is another bird, and in males this can make them quite aggressive. You want your new baby to bond with you instead of his/her own reflection.
