I have a baby cockatiel who is nearly 8 weeks old. She is been fed 2 times per day and letting her wean in other times. But she doesn't wean at all. When I introduce millet seeds and some mixed seeds to her, she takes it to the beak, breaks it, plays with it, but doesn't swallow it. She begs me to feed her with hand feeding formula. Is there any way to show her that the seeds are edible. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you 🙄☺

hi! try giving him steamed vegies and leave few millets (separately) spray the on plate or sheet of paper ..(try hulled millets and crush them to small halfs not as powder, to make sure the tiel gets to taste it ) it worked with my tiels. it's normal for baby birds to cry for food , as a owner just make sure u have filed his crop partially and make sure u give a drops of water at the end of the feeding so as to keep him hydrated. hope my answer would help. checkout this website incase u need : ▷ 🥇 Weaning Baby Cockatiels【 2020 】
