I just figured out how to post a new thread! I'm a little slow today! I recently got back into Cockatiels after a long absence. I have 8 'tiels. I am now hearing about mutations I never heard about 15 years ago. I have been closely observing one of my hens. She was sold to me as a Cinnamon but she appears to have a yellow wash all over her body! I have another Cinnamon hen who does not have the yellow wash. I don't remember Cinnamons looking that way. Are they that variable? She doesn't look like the pictures of the Olive mutation that I have seen but I haven't seen a Cinnamon Olive. Is such a thing even possible? Also can anyone tell me what kind of mutation it is? Sex Linked? Ressesive? I have been told that her mate is split for Cinnamon, Pearl, Lutino and Whiteface. Generally speaking a hen is what she is unless she has ressesive genes that don't show.

Thank You! That makes it very clear. My hen must just have a lot of yellow in her. She is much darker than that.
