Hello, lovely people 🙂
We have been very careful with daylight schedule with our birdies, but with the whole lockdown and working and studying from home missed a moment. They found their perfect nest in one of the baskets and started laying eggs. We put some dummy eggs to prevent many of them, but now we have 3 eggs and Joey and Lola are sitting on them 1 by 1. Around end of the next week I'll be grandpa 🙂 We did proper research and everything is more or less clear for us, but ! We are moving to the new flat on the 28th and the chick will be only like 6-8-10 days old. What is the best way to do it ? We were thinking to set up everything for them in separate room on 27th and move them same day and leave for the night and we do actual moving ourself next day.
Thank you !

I think you can go ahead moving them on 27th. Just make sure to keep nest box warm during transportation. Make sure parents start to feed babies before you leave at 27th night. As long as babies are feed by parents. There is not much too worry about. Trying not to check cage setup.

If you can, get some hand feed formula and tools( syringe etc) ready. Get ready for hand feeding them if parent abandon them for any reason. Anyhow, i hand feed my babies once a day to reduce the burden of parents and to get babies used to human handling.
