ok i have come across a good problem a friend of mine got a job in british columbia and can,t take his tiels with him so he offered them to me there are three of them with 2 of them a breeding pair wich leaves me with a problem i no some of you may think i,m nuts but i have no room for all these birds so i,m going to sell all but 1 budgie wich is the multi coloured one yes i love my budgies but i love my tiels as well they will have to be tamed as they have never been out of there cage so i,m selling 10 budgies out of 11 with the 2 that are on the eggs held back till they have hatched and are weaned oh yea the price on the tiels FREE

No names and never let out of there cage wow thats sad :( you will have your hands full with them, but I am sure you will give them a good home, hopefully they will behave around Stretch and Sparkles.

I guess i'm the only one who See's differently here. I hate how people get rid of one type of bird to get another. Not sure if this is a good example because i'm not bea but that's like bea selling all the budgies in her aviary to fill it with tiels (not sure if she would or wouldn't do this).
A better example is me selling off all my budgies but say one so i can get a lutino cockatiel that we were talking about tonight (not getting into details just yet). Don't get me wrong here it's great you are willing to take them in but at the price of selling off all but 1 of your budgies. This type of thing saddens me.

I wouldn't sell my budgies to make room for tiels, but, plenty of people with breeding birds do this all the time - it's part of the hobby so there are lots of varying views. If they're going to a good home with lots of budgie friends then that's better for everyone. Two tiels are getting a loving home and 10 budgies are also going to be in a loving home. I don't necessarily like it, but i'm not going to lecture people who do this.

Oh i don't mean to get off on the bad side here. I know a lot of it happens with breeders but it's quite sad. I didn't think you would ever sell you budgies just like i'd never sell mine. I'd make a horrible breeder if thats the way most breeder go about it. Giving up birds because they don't breed/ to old/ no room. I wouldn't be able to do it. Good thing i don't look into breeding as a full time thing.

As for what type of home they go to, i hope they all get super homes. With talk of the lutino here there is talk of getting a double stacked cage. It saves room big time. There will be 5 cages in my room then. My double flight for budgies, Slushs cage, Hugs cage, and then the lutinos if we do get him/her. Best invention ever is the double stacked cage.

i thought i better explain that because of where i live it is limited on space and when you are on a fixed income it makes it harder on you the breeder that contacted me tonight has conerted the top floor of his house into a aviary for his wife if my health was better and i was still able to work i would keep them with no hesitation

I understand living space. We live in a small place and the only place we can fit the bird cages is in my room where they will be safe. I have the double flight in there, the single flight, 2 beds (my sisters and mine) 2 dressers and cookies cage and we are pretty much full. Not sure where i'm going to fit another cage.

Quite sad you have to rehome them but if you think you are doing whats best i'm not going to say you are not.
