I am a new bird owner (about a month) now.
I might be going crazy but it seems like Buddy has A TON more tiny air bound floaty stuff now than when I brought him home.
His diet hasn't changed meaning he's eating a lot (more now than at first)
He's lost one bigger feather and several tiny fluff feathers, should I worry or could it be molting.
I don't know anything about molting.
Please advise.
Thanks fellow bird parents.

I wouldn't worry, sounds like normal moulting to me. Maxi had a never ending moult last year and every time she shook out there was plenty of bits of fluff (then again normally there's plenty of fluff ;) )

It sounds like a normal molt to me too. There will be days when Joey is molting, that we swear it is snowing in here because of all the tiny feathers floating around. There are days we are surprised he isn't sitting there bald because it seems so many feathers seem to be coming out.

I have a glass I collect his bigger feathers and some of the medium sized ones in. It is impossible to keep every one, but I just can't help but keep some of them.

molting

Yes, it's amazing how many feathers those little bodies produce! It always seems like I find so many feathers around, and I just have one cockatiel!

Yep! During a molt, there can be days where I swear Joey sheds a whole bird, and find myself shocked he isn't bald! :D
