Hi,
Male and female tiels have been trying for about a week now but everything else has been pretty normal behaviour until today.
The male has started running up and down the bottom of the cage and shouting at us. We told him to stop and usually he does but he was very persistent. Female then joined him at the bottom running side to side.
We have a nesting box in their cage and they only stopped once we moved some of the soft nesting around.

I can't see anything about this and not been in the position before so just wanted some advice from someone with experience. Is it likely we have eggs on the way?

I don’t think so. When they run up and down the cage screaming, it means they want something. If they were to lay eggs, they would’ve been laid them. They probably stopped because they’re curious of the nest box.
