Are macadamia nuts okay for a cockatiel as an occasional treat? Someone gave me a container of unsalted macadamias and I was wondering if they are okay for cockatiels. I know most tree nuts are okay, but peanuts are risky. I gave Bennie a couple of small pieces of macadamia nut and he really likes them.

Yes, macadamia nuts are fine in moderation they are my personal favourite nut too! Haha

Yes, I like them too, but don't get a lot as they are expensive. They come from Hawaii I believe. Glad I can give them to Bennie as a special treat once in a while.
