He woke in morning at bottom of cage. This past Saturday. I got him into vet Tuesday. Vet gave him anti inflammatory. He passed on Thursday. Worst thing I ever went thru. I have a female Jingles. She seems lost without him. Has anyone else experienced similar? Was young also. About 10 months old.

I did. notice Lou was quite a daredevil. He would jump and end up falling. But get right up and keep going. But it seemed he did this a lot. My female is way more cautious with her movements.
Any thoughts are appreciated.

So so sorry about that . Be assured you did everything you could. I lost a beloved cockatiel 15 years old flew off never to find him and I had a conure age 27 who was fine one day and died in the night no warning at all . Birds hide their illness very very well ..I know you are grieving but remember your heart will heal and you will miss him but getting another one and giving your love to another one is the best solution when you are ready

I'm sorry for your loss :( Get the female looked at by a vet too. I know it's expensive but whatever Lou had could be contagious. Make sure they do a gram stain test of her droppings (is a test used to help identify bacteria). Also make sure you clean the cage thoroughly (you can use dawn dish soap or white vinegar mixed with water)

Thank you, I think Lou had a fall and broke his neck.
