It's so wonderful to see everyone's different cockatiels and their varying mutations. How many do you have? What are their names? What mutations are they? Are they male or female? Do you know their age? I'll start:
I have seven cockatiels.
In order of appearance:
Meringue - lutino - female - around 7 or 8 years old (don't know her exact date of birth)
Mara - cinnamon pied - female - around 7 to 8 years old (don't know her exact dob either)
Maverick - normal grey - male - around 3 to 4 years old (don't know his exact dob either)
Cookie - whiteface pearl - female - 2 years old (will turn 3 in May)
Freckles - cinnamon pearl - female - 2 years old (as of February)
Yondu - pied - male - 20 months old (will turn 2 in June)
Willow - whiteface pearl - 14 months old (will turn 2 in December)

Yes, he is probably split to whiteface. What did you want to know on that pair?
Thanks for your response! So, on the second pair, I believe the hen is Cinnamon Lutino Pearl Pied (she seems to have dark eyes) and the male is clear pied split Lutino (his eyes appear dark as well). I just recently acquired them from another breeder. They are set up here with me now and are in and out the box. So, I was wondering when/if we get babies what you guess? My best guess if the mutations are correct lutino pied/cinnamon pearl, lutino/cinnamon pearl pied and maybe pieds? Time will tell I suppose, but I was wondeing what you guess? Thanks so much! I also assumed it was ok for these two to be paired as they have dark eyes and are not lutino to lutino, am I correct? Thank you!!

The hen is actually a cinnamon pearl pied; she isn't Lutino. If a cockatiel has any grey on them, even just one feather, it is considered a pied; therefore, yours would be a heavy cinnamon pearl pied. Do you know for sure that the male is split to lutino? If he has the dark eyes, then yes, he is a clear pied. I've never bred clear pieds before so I might be wrong, but if I'm right, all chicks should be pied with varying splits. Also, if the male is split to lutino, then you could get lutino females. Like I said, I've never bred clear pieds so I'm not 100% sure that's correct, sorry.

Thank you for clarifying that! The male had dark eyes, so I expect he's clear pied. I only know what the breeder who had him thought. It'll be interesting to see what chicks we get! Thank you for your help!!

Yes, I really like her crest, too! 😊 It will be very interesting to see what chicks you get. If you happen to have any chicks, you should definitely show them. I’d love to see what a clear pied parent could have 😊

I will for sure! He's been preparing the box for her for day and going in and out. I've seen them mating, so we'll see what happens. I'll report back with photos!
