Hi all, I'm fostering a 13 yo cockatiel for a friend whose family had to move abroad. He's been healthy for the past 2 years but today I noticed this lump under his wing that he seems to have plucked all the feathers off of. What could it be? His behavior seems the same as ever before.

Hello there and welcome to the forum!

It could be a cyst or perhaps a tumor, can't really diagnose it for you but it looks very serious and requires immediate veterinarian attention.

Hi! Thanks for your reply. I'm hoping he's okay and that it's not serious. :(
Will start looking around for an avian vet for him. Hopefully there's one near me.

If you can't find an avian vet, a good regular vet is better than no vet at all. Please keep us updated, I hope you are able to get him to a vet soon.
