Hi everyone, my second time posting.

KiKu finally came out of her cage on her own after tree weeks. I was so thrilled.
She is still a little nervous. :violet:
She takes food from my hand but when I want her to step up, she runs away from me.
Can I give her sliced almonds as a treat?
Love all the post., it's so helpful.

Hi!

I have never given my boy almonds, so I had to check and it seems to be OK if they are raw. The most popular treat is millet I think. They really love it!
It is good that she came out of the cage on her own. Be patient and one day she will also step up!

Hooray for progress! I wasn't sure about almonds either. For treats, I give Joey millet, Nutriberries, or his pellets. There is something about them being hand fed to him that makes him think they are pretty fantastic, even though they are the same pellets he gets in his dish. :D
