Hi i've had my cockatiel for 12 days, right now I think it's a girl and is a cinnamon pearl Pied. I'm a first time pet owner (except for a fish when I was 4). I don't know her parents or age, neither does the shopkeeper know. Me and him both think she's a girl but I'm not sure. Any help would be nice. no

Yes, it is definitely a cinnamon pearl; I'm not sure about pied though. Does it have different coloured wings like yellow flight feathers and grey flight feathers or are they all the same color? If it was pied, it would have different coloured wings and from what I can see, it just has one color. As for the sex of the bird, it looks like a female to me; the only way it would be a male is if it is younger than 1 year old. You can try wing spot sexing the bird to see if you can figure it out that way or you could DNA it. This is my cinnamon pearl cockatiel. She looks so much like yours.

Hi, thanks for responding I checked and I saw both the wings are the same colour so guess that means it’s a cinnamon Pearl and not pied. I think I’m just going to DNA it, one again thanks for your help :)
