Hi.

The last 3 birds I had were parrotlets. My last one went to the rainbow bridge a year ago at age 11.

Hubby & I have decided we would like a white face male cockatiel this time. I did have one as I child that I really loved.

I’m having a horrible time finding a good breeder. I’ve always had my birds shipped by plane as I haven’t been able to find good breeders in Indiana.

Now since I have no idea where to look to find a cockatiel breeder that will ship it’s been really hard.

The last one recommended to me wanted to charge me $25 for every bird she sexed til a boy was found & then I found out she sells to pet shops.

I just want a sweet, happy & healthy bird & I’m feeling discouraged.

Any suggestions?

Thanks so much.

I'm not sure I know any places that ship cockatiels by plane, but I recommend finding a local breeder and adopting in the worst-case scenario. Even if they were a bad breeder, at least you'd be giving a chick a loving and caring home.

I bought my baby 'tiels two years ago on a local C2C website; perhaps you can try that out too?
