My tiel Baby flew away 8-01-15
and we never got her back.

We bought our 2 new tiels today (Feb 1, 2016) and we think they are females. One is 2 years old from a pet store and the other was adopted from the humane society (they were together when I bought them from a person. )

They were named Skittles (the nicer one ;) ) and the other one who is more scared was named Cleo.
I think they're pied cockatiels.

We're going to rename them... But I'm back to the Cockatiel forum :)

Glad to see you're back - those two guys are really snuggling up to you :)

I'm no cockatiel sexing expert, but I'd say you've got yourself a couple of handsome boys there :D

Welcome again :) nice to meet you
I also think they're males. They have a full bright mask and I didn't see any barring in the tail feathers

I thought they were males too, and they love singing.
But I've read that with pied/split pied cockatiels you cannot tell if it's a male or female.
Is that true?

I'll try uploading some better pictures later today

No, different colored nails don't mean they're pied, but they probably are split to pied. That means they carry the gene and can produce pied babies if paired with the right mate but a split pied bird doesn't look like a pied bird.
