Hi everyone! I've had Lorenzo for a little while now. I'm assuming he is a he based on the way he whistles, screeches, and even purrs. He mainly does this in the morning when I first uncover him but he also does it throughout the day. He also has lost a few of the yellow and black striped tail feathers. They have been replaced with solid ones. I was told that if he kept striped tail feathers that it meant he was a female. Also, does this mean he's molting? He doesn't seem to be losing that many other feathers. Just a few fluffy ones here and there. I'm new to cockatiels so I'm not really sure what to look for. The people I got him from did not give me an age. All they said was that he is "still young". I'll post some pictures so you can take a look at him.

I also ordered an Avian DNA kit. However, I'm not sure how long it will take to arrive.

Yup, male! I'd say he's in the middle of his big molt now. :)
