On another site when my babies were really young, someone said they might get a cinnamon wash throughout their wings when they molt. Well they did! I was just looking at them closely, inspecting all the new tail feathers and their new wing feathers and I noticed the color. I am SO excited! I will try and get some pics that show the color.

The pics aren't very good. The wash is really light but you can see it.

Her wings. You can see the patterns. It looks like a heavy shadow. Some of her feathers are cinnamin on one side of the "stick" (not sure what the thing is called with the blood in it) and white on the other side.

That's really odd, it was my understanding that a WF lutino should never get any pigment. Cute though, and i know you were hoping they would get some colour!

They're cute either way! I didn't know that they change colors though...

Some WF lutinos will show a melanin cinnamon coloured overlay. This is not the actual cinnamon mutation, but an affect from the lutino side where some lutinos show a pinkish brown overlay.
