Yay! I got my Havana banana today! Iam soooo happy and lucky too! He is sweet as can be! All he wanted to do when we got home was be with me and climb on me! I told him that I was his favorite tree now! Haha!

I do have one question (of course!): The cage we got him is the Hagen Vision model M11. The bottom of the cage has a see through plastic and his dishes are placed at the bottom of the cage, as well. the only way he could get up to where he could have access to the wires of the cage is by climbing up a soft, bendy perch. and he seems to be stretching his wings and legs a lot....is this normal or does that have to do with the fact that he's had to work twice as hard to get to that comfy, soft perch? He is my first 'tiel...so the constant stretching is worrying me.

Thank you again!

ps: i've tried to upload a pics of HB and his cage, but my pics are too big and I'm not that great with the computer.

I've heard that stretching is a sign of comfort. A nervous bird will stand very still and make himself tall and skinny. I think they're trying to look like a branch. If your bird is stretching he isn't scared.
