My Cockatiel, Phooey, has a hurt wing. She's pretty young, still in her first molt. I think it may have something to do with that. Being that she is my first Cockatiel, I'm very worried about what may be nothing. Nothing looks wrong with the wing from the outside, but she's very paranoid about anything touching it; like she'll get angry if a strand of my hair comes too close to it. It's only the one wing, thus the concern. She's a total sweetheart. Wouldn't hurt a fly, rarely angry, very clinging. She doesn't seem mad, just hurt.

I know for a fact Phooey won't like it and WILL get upset but if there is ANY way you can hold the wing in question out and look under it, give it a try. She MAY have a broken blood feather. If you can do this, look for blood....that's a sure sign of a broken feather and can be painful too her.
