Hi everybody so we are moving to a two story house and so I have no experience transporting my birds upstairs and downstairs. I'm thinking of using a tinier cage for the night and a bigger one for the day but the stairs are way too steep to carry the cage.
How do you transport your birds? Do you let them sleep alone downstairs?

First question: Are your birds tame enough to stay on your finger going up the stairs? You didn't say how MANY you have so I'm assuming two. Many tame birds will either stay on your finger or shoulder while you walk from room to room. As to the cage, I think I would choose the bigger cage for sleep as well as daytime activity. That was they don't get confused and have to get use to both cages.
