I tried to feel my two cockatiels ( 5 - 7 months) some carrots and cucumbers and they just look at me and did nothing. I tried a few green grapes also. What is the best way to present food for them to even get them to taste it.

Any suggstions would be appreciated. I wantmy tiels to be happy and healthy.

Because the cage I have got has a grate on the bottom, we just place the veggies on the grate. They do get curious and it may take them about 10 mins or more to not be scared of it, and they will eventually go and have a bite. But don't be put off if they don't eat it the first time, just keep trying with it the next day. You can also put it in a bowl or on the side of the cage. :D

Just keep trying, I think it was Bea that takes a bit of broccolli and presses some seeds in it and clips it to the cage. Just try different things and different ways, that way they may find out that they do love cooked carrots but not raw. Good luck :)

I've had best results by putting veggies on a kabob. It looks a lot like a toy and I alternate it in the same position as millet. One day a kabob, the next millet.
