I am wondering how often I should feed my 2 month old cockatiel? He is 2 months old and eats all by himself, but I never know if I should leave food out all the time whenever he gets hungry or if I should have a feeding schedule. Thanks!

That's a pretty young tiel you have there but on average, tiels should be fed in the mornings after you uncover them and once in the early evening before bed. Be sure and change there water bowel too as many times it gets nasty in just a days time.

I have tried to feed him only twice but around the afternoon he begins begging for food again, especially on his most active days!

Ok.....try this: go ahead and feed him again in the afternoon, If it eats it, great, if there is much left, let that be his supper. You kinda have to walk a fine line here. You don't want to overfeed them and risk a fat bird. Just keep an eye on his bowel.
