Hi all! How much of the veggies you give your tiel' do they actually eat?

Everyday I offer veggies to my bird. I will give him diced carrot, shredded lettuce (red or romaine), spinach, broccoli, and home grown sprouts.

However, it seems that he will only eat just a few mouthfulls at most. I guess I'm a bit concerned that Lucky isn't getting all the vitamins he needs.

Mine will eat it all, they won't leave any what so ever.

I give them: Carrot, Corn, Celery, Spinach, Pumpkin, Broccoli. I also get 5 frozen 1kg bags of diced mixed vegetables for them when I get payed, give them to the 'tiels once cooked, and they love it. :D (they get their veggies everyday - just not a whole 1kg bag obviously, I cook them a bowl full).

It's funny, they hated veggies at first, but I started cooking frozen veggies, put it in front of them and horrah, they started eating them and from there on they won't refuse.

Mine get fruit and veg every day, but they don't always eat it all up. They will have a few bites of this and that sometimes, or sometimes they will eat most of it. Just keep giving it to them and let them eat the amount they want. I know it can be a bit of a waste, but that's better than not giving it at all.

My guys do a variety of things with their food. They eat some, they throw some on the floor, and they mince some up. :p As long as they are eating some of it i'm happy - we can't really force them to eat more than they want to.

Ronan will eat until he's bursting, Prospero on the other hand is picky picky picky. However, they both love birdie bread will lots of vegies including peas, corn, broccoli, carrot, & apple. Baby romaine is a big hit too, why even Pro will go for that! I usually thread the green and purple leaf romaine on a skewer with raw carrot and parsley.

Spike is a bit picky as well. He does love his broccoli though and anything that is on my plate :p He does seem to drop more than he eats. I try to give Spike fresh veggies twice a day. My Mom will also give them veggies when Iam at work :)
