I have a female, JB, she is about 6 or 7 years old. She does have a history of egg-laying and other hormonal behaviors. However lately, her behavior has become more and more Intolerable. I feel like the problem is that she thinks I am her mate and she is bonded to me.
She gets really bad separation anxiety. I live in a 1 br apartment, even if she can't see me briefly she goes off. The way she acts lately, it's makes it impossible to relax. I like spending time with her, but I cannot even go to the bathroom without her freaking out. I feel like I have tried everything up to this point and nothing really has worked, she always goes back. It's like I'm in a toxic relationship with her.
I was considering getting her a mate as she did have one years ago, but he was my mils bird so he has moved out. I'm worried if I do thus, what if it just multiplies my problem by 2.
Any advise at all is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
