I started a new thread on this topic because there seemed to be a glitch on my other thread which wasn't showing my new posts. The original thread can be viewed here.

We have 4 chicks, all are being fed well. Chick #1 is 1 week 2 days old today and chick #2 is 1 week old today. They are starting to screech like little dinosaurs already! So cute.

No sign of egg #5 hatching yet... I thought I could see what looked like dark veins on the egg today. The latest date for it to hatch is the 7th so I will leave it a few days after that date, then remove it to candle it but I don't have much hope for it hatching since the rest of eggs hatched very close together (chick #2, #3 and #4 are only 1 day apart!).

Mum and dad have been leaving the nest together for a few minutes at a time (they are being kept in a warm room at a constant temperature so I was told not to worry about this) so I am able to peek at the babies clearly every so often. Today I saw one of the chicks stretching and flapping his/her little wings.

Video of the babies here!

A couple of recent pics attached. :)

The oldest 2 chicks are starting to open their eyes and sprout little pin feathers on their little chicken wings. They are growing right before my eyes!

I think egg #5 may be a dud... When I check the nest box in the morning lately the egg is always slightly to the side instead of under the chicks like it has been.

Removed egg #5, candled it and sure enough it was infertile. 4 out of 5 ain't bad for a first time!

Had to clean out the nest box today because of mould growth, so my partner and I took the babies out and got to handle them a bit. I was amazed by how warm their little bodies are. The 3 older chicks are starting to get pin feathers and little crests now and they've got the dinosaur screech and trademark 'tiel hiss perfected. They were very calm and sleepy when we removed them from the box and put them in a temporary "nest" while we did the cleaning though.

Chick #1 is 2 weeks old tomorrow! Here's a pic (3rd chick was buried underneath the older babies).

Got the babies out of the nest for a few minutes today. Oldest chick is 2 weeks and 1 day old, youngest is 1 week and 5 days old.

A bit concerned about the youngest chick as he/she is so much smaller but only a day younger than the 3rd chick. Checked him over today, nice full crop and seems strong and alert. They are all standing on their feet now and are loving being handled and petted: they put their heads back and close their eyes when I stroked their heads. So adorable! Pictures attached.

I was concerned about the youngest baby's growth but he/she seems to be doing a lot better now. I've attached a pic I took today :) weight was 57g today so that's excellent.

My clutch has started feathering up! Oldest baby is 3 weeks old tomorrow (picture attached). Looks like we have 3 cinnamons so far! That came as a real surprise, dad must be split cinnamon.

Baby weights today from youngest to oldest:

62g
86g
89g
98g

Getting big!! Starting to actually look somewhat like a 'tiel now, lol

Will upload more pics next update.

The babies are starting to tame down a bit (the littlest baby is very tame though!). I am going to try hand feeding them a bit of formula every time my partner and I get them out to improve our bond with them.

It looks like we have 4 cinnamons! Couple more pictures. Enjoy. :cinnamon:
