It's a work in Progress.

But I was so proud. My husband decided to try to make a gym for the tiels. I did the painting with the birdsafe food coloring. We still have more to do but I thought that I would post some pics looking for any pointers or suggestions.

I was thinking about adding a second tier in the middle. Approximately half the height of the total unit.

All suggestions are welcome.

That looks great. I bet your 'tiels love it. Are you going to put some kind of molding around the edge? It would give it a nice finished look.

Sorry all, I haven't responded. I have been on vacation and didn't have enough time to sit and access the internet.

Looking at this again, the possibilities are endless, you could add on and on and eventually, they will have the whole room as a playgym! lol.
That's the idea. That's what the tiels think anyway. :D We tried to keep it flexible so we can always change it. My husband wants to put a Tarzan vine for Peaches. My husband says that Peaches wants a Rockband / Guitar Hero setup for Wii like Daddy. They can jam together while Pucca swoons.

That's so neat!! Did you make the ladders or did you buy them?
Yes, Peter made the ladders himself. However, hindsight is better than foresight, there are plenty of different sizes that are inexpensive on the market. It's worth it just to buy them. The ladders took too long to make.

That looks great. I bet your 'tiels love it. Are you going to put some kind of molding around the edge? It would give it a nice finished look.
No, we thought that we would cover it with water resistent material and roll it over the sides. That way it would be easier to keep clean. We have a gym with the edging and it always gets stuff stuck in the cranies.

Thanks so much for the feedback and the suggestions. I will post more photos. Now back to the beach.:thumbu:
