Hi everyone, my name is Ines and I am from Epsom, UK. I have always had cockatiels but recently lost our beloved whiteface pied Pip to liver/ kidney issues. He was only ten, so not really old.

We also had Colin, a pied, who passed away at 15 years and Foster, a normal grey female (don't ask about the name, haha) who made it to 23 years.

When Pip was sick I searched a lot online and this is how I found this forum. I was and still am so heartbroken over Pip and wasn't going to have any more after him.

But then I couldn't bear the empty quiet house any longer and eventually caved in and we now have Klaus (whiteface pied) and Pippa (whiteface pearl), both 4 ½ months old now, brother and sister, we think, the breeder wasn't sure but most likely. Hatched in March this year, had them DNA tested so know for sure they are boy and girl :)

They were hand-reared and are silly tame. I work from home so they have really bonded with me and just follow me around all day long.

Klaus is quite the songster and talks to his foot: https://www.facebook.com/ines.telling/videos/10152849909031945/?pnref=storyhttps://www.facebook.com/ines.telling/videos/10152849909031945/?pnref=story

…and they both just love to shred:

Anyway, I'm glad to be back in the tiel community, couldn't be without them ;)

Looking forward to meeting you all…

Ines, Klaus and Pippa x

Welcome to the forum. I loved your video clips and the second was just too funny. That was some serious shredding going on.
