hey all im new to thease forums and just got a tiel i was tol she is about 5 months, i have a few questions tho since she nips and hisses, is a 5 months still trainable and bondable? i will get a picture and may b u could tell me how old she looks to u amnd c if shes really 5months or not thx guys

Hi there welcome to the forum, its hard to say if she is exactly 5 months old, nipping and hissing is pretty normal seeing as you just got her its going to take some time and patience for her to get use to you, but its never to late to start the bonding process, take a look around the training and bonding forum you might be able to get some good tips there.

Hi, welcome to the forum... I'm a new tiel owner too... have had my Tiki almost 3 wks, we are still working on the bonding process... getting much better tho. Tiki was a year old when I got him, so has had a lot of adjusting to do...This is a good place for info and help tho...

She is still settling in, it might take a little while but she'll be fine. Be very patient, slowly, slowly and she will soon be ok.

thx for the welcomes guys feels nice to be welcome shes fine when shes out of the cage with me and shes actually sitting on my plasma monitor while im on the computer
but once shes in her cage she goes all hissy and defencive but im working on her
