...he's had his first proper, on his own initiative, without any nagging from me......shower/bath!!

Woohoo!! Dooby was at his water bowl, dipping his head in and flicking it around, so I thought he might like a bath. Now, I've tried endless times to get the dirty little devil to have a bath, but as I've said before, he just jumps in and jumps straight back out again. Anyway, I put his bath in the bottom of his cage and he jumped straight in.......unfortunately, although it is supposed to be a tile sized bath, he didn't seem to be able to lie down properly and splash around, so I got the spray out.....he absolutely loved it!!! He spread his wings and sat, shaking his feathers, fluffing himself up and having a really good shower. I tried so hard to film him as I was spraying but once he saw the camera, it all stopped. This is him after his spraying!!

aww he looks so cute

I used to use a cake pan to give my quaker a bath but I've upgraded to a Pan that is meant for dogs, he fits well in it

and i caught 2 tiels in it the other day (thier 1st real bath)

not the best shot but They were enjoying it

I've came to the conclusion that things intended for dogs are working very well for my birds , the tubs are for dogs, the 4 of our dishes are for dogs (but hey no more food is bieng thrown out in the cages they're in), a rope toy in the commnuity cage is meant for dogs, and 2 toys i've bought for my baby love bird are intended for dogs LOL

its amazing what cool stuff for birds you can find in a dog isle :)
