Hi members,

Can I get some urgent advice on my cockatiel pair’s first batch of eggs please??

It is kind of urgent as I think 2 of the 3 eggs are showing strong blood ring and were very cold to touch as I found them on the side of the cage. Female was sitting only on one egg and that one has also been cracked slightly, however,

Last egg was laid on 15th November, so it has been 9 days today for all of three eggs atleast.

Should I remove them? how to confirm if they are definitely not viable?

Any help is much appreciated as I don’t want to cause stress to the pair.

Thank you

No, don't remove them as the female will lay more to replace the missing eggs, try doing the egg candling method, there are some tutorials online.
If the eggs are infertile, then wait until the female loses interest, then remove the eggs.

If your tiel has laid eggs, make sure they are getting plenty of calcium! : )

Hope this helped! <3
