Hi. So my cockatiel has been chirping/squawking constantly in regular intervals for the past 3 or so days. I don't understand why. She doesn't seem injured. She's acting normal otherwise. She's eating normally, pooping fine, flies around, she sits with us, fluffs up, grinds her beak, preens herself. Her behavior seems normal except for the sudden constant chrips. She does this even while semi asleep. In fact, the only time she isn't chriping/squawking constantly is when she's fully asleep at night.

I would love to upload a little video clip of this. But I'm unable to as this website apparently doesn't accept mp4 format.

Please help. What do I do? What does this mean? I've never faced anything like this from my other cockatiels. Should I just wait it out?

The Cockatiel “Scristle
some a “squawk,” and others a “screech,” but whatever you call it, the cockatiel “scristle” (a scream plus whistle) is a frequent cockatiel vocalization. Cockatiels will utter this attention-getting squeal when they are upset, scared, lonely or excited. If She doesn't seem injured, She's acting normal, She's eating normally, pooping fine, flies around, she sits with you, fluffs up, grinds her beak, preens herself.
Then you can wait it out. And forgot to ask, which time of the day specifically does she start squawking and chirping suddenly?
If it's early morning then it may not be a problem. She might be going through hormonal changes. Don't worry as such, but if it continues for 2-3 days, then a visit to the vet may be required.

Oh thank you so much for the reply!! Yeah, other than the "scristle" she's behaving normally.

And she does this allll day. From the moment she wakes up to when she falls back asleep at night (minus the afternoon/evening nap)

I'm used to her doing this in the mornings or when we're not around to get our attention etc. But not all the time, not like this. I'll wait a day or two and probably take her to a vet if she doesn't stop.

Once again. Thank you so much for the reply. It helped ease my nerves a bit. :)
