HELP! My birds got in a huge fight and now there are missing feathers on the top of his head. The both stopped bleeding but one has minor cuts on his head. Nothing is too deep and it looks like the top of the skin, what s something i can put on his head to help with healing/pain? People recommended Aloe but I don't know if that will do anything.

I think you should go to the vet so they can make sure it doesn't get infected and to reduce the pain.

My baby chicken had her whole top of her head scalped by older hens. She healed fine without treatment but now has no feathers growing on her scalp. She doesn't seem to notice or care, and the other hens and rooster in her flock don't treat her any different. Birds use the pecking on the head to establish their "pecking order" so this fight may have been a challenge by both birds for domince. It probably won't happen again.

Are you sure it was a fight? My friends birds loved to have their head feathers plucked by another. They were not in the same cage. The one would hang on the others side of cage and allow him to pluck away even though he was screeching when it was done. I have heard it could be a mating thing but not sure.
