Hi, My tiels just layed egg 4 days ago. But today they are behavior is changed. Male is inside the nestbox since morning and didnt come out yet and female is sitting on the perch not going inside the box. Is this normal for male to sit inside the box for too long?

With cockatiels, both parents share the duties for incubation and baby care. The most common pattern is for the male to do most of the egg-sitting in the daytime, and the female sits on the eggs at night. In the wild, this gives the female more time to get food for herself so she can recover from laying the eggs. With most parrot species, the male feeds the female so she can sit on the eggs all the time. But the members of the cockatoo family don't do this, and the hen has to collect her own food.

P.S. It's common for the parents to wait a few days before they start sitting on the eggs seriously. It sounds like your pair just got serious, or at least the male did. It's important for the eggs to be incubated at night, so I hope that the hen will also take her duties seriously.
