Hi! I was recently having a similar issue with my boy who's 11 months. Any time he saw one of 3 blue tea towels I have he would become aggressive, attacking my face, screeching and spending all his time sitting with the tea towel. I've removed the tea towels from being in rotation for now which has helped. I've also extended his hours in darkness. He was sleeping in a covered cage in a dark room from around 8.30pm to 7.30am. Now I put him to bed when the sun goes down (5.30pm here in Sydney at the moment) and get him up at around 6.30-7.00am. This has made a world of difference! He seems happier, more relaxed, a lot less aggressive. His entire attitude has changed from being easily worked up and quick to be aggressive to being cuddley and calm.
I recently learnt that extending their hours in darkness tones down their breeding hormones as it resembles winter conditions and they generally don't like to breed in summer. For us it's worked wonders. You could try that π
Good luck with him!
