Hi there,I bought my very first cockatiel today,so just had to tell other tiel lovers.I think he is a boy,he is pure white but I do not think he is an albino as he does not have the red eyes.
But he is so handsome,I am still trying to think of a name for him so any hints are more than welcome.
I am awaiting a new little friend for him tomorrow, you've guessed yes another tiel.
Also any hints whatsoever to the care of my tiels are welcome, I think I have it in hand though.
Well I could go on and on but I won't,thankyou for letting me join your group.
A word of warning for you all though, I am a novice on computer skills,so please be patient and I apologise now for future mistakes.

Hi thankyou for your welcome. Yes I understand what you are saying about quarintine, but the tiels were in the same aviary,we were not planning on two tiels but later on in the day we went out and bought a larger cage just so we could have another tiel,he looked so lonely we could not bear it, we just had to get him a little friend,:D
I did keep canaries many years ago and my aunt kept tiels years ago,so I have picked up bits and pieces along the way.
My husband and I are animal lovers,we also have two dogs,an elderly rescue who is a heinz mix,she is about 14-15 years old now and a yorkshire terrier who is 4 in july.
I will get some pics organised over the next couple of days, and I will check out all the tiel info.
I do love your pics, they are all so cute !

If they're from the same aviary and come home within a few days of each other you won't need to quarantine. :D I'm sure they'll be very happy with each others company. Tiels really are like potato chips, it's almost impossible to have just one!

Thanks again for the welcome everyone. Am happy to say both tiels are getting on great. It was so strange when we brought the new tiel into the sitting room still in it's little carry box the white tiel started whistling so loud and was very excited he seemed to sense the other bird,it was so sweet like long lost relatives seeing each other for the first time. (Hence I am still thinking of names !)

That's a good idea,maybe just do that.
Some tips on taming would help, had my first bite yesterday, ooh it was painful.
I t was just that I had to take him out of his cage for a few minutes,so I had no choice, hubby suggested calling him gnasher , I really don't think so haha.
