Thank you for accepting me into this forum. I'm a first time bird owner that adopted a cockatiel from a rescue. (She was a surrendered animal) I'll be able to bring her home in a week, this being my choice. I placed an adoption fee down on her but I wanted to do some proper research, finding the right cage, toys, perches and food for her. I think she'll be happy here as the newest member of the Loe-On-Doe Farms crew. Her house-mates are 3 English Mastiffs, a Bearded Dragon and 1 rescue cat.

Welcome to the forum and GREAT story! I'm so glad to hear you adopted this female cockatiel. I also applaud you for doing your homework before bringing her home. It sure sounds like you'll both be happy! send a few pics when you get her home.
