I used to raise cockatiels back in the 90's. I had latinos. Started out with one that we thought was a male until she laid an egg. Got her a buddy and they had several broods of babies. Did some hand feeding back in the day. Just got a beautiful pair a few months ago and am thoroughly enjoying them, as are my 3 grandkids; esp. my 4 y.o granddaughter. Just put a nest box on and the male went in to check it out right away. I have seen them getting "friendly", so it will be fun to see how the process plays out. Can't wait to get some babies to spoil. Also have 2 tangerine pied doves. They were supposed to be a pair, but after well over a year of no eggs, I'm fairly certain they are both male. They had to be separated because they wouldn't stop fighting, which made me sad. (I still have both; just in different cages) I call them Ernie and Bert. The tiels are Sizzle and Suzee.
