I cant remove the formula stuck on my baby birds neck i need to use force but I'm afraid i will hurt my bird, i tried warm paper towels and thin stick to separate them and soaking it with water but still i cant remove them, what will happen to my baby bird? Will the feathers fall and regrow another?

I have exactly the same problem with my little Ozzy. I've found that it helps making the formula patches damp and then gently "playing" with the area to try and disintegrate the build up. It comes off slowly.

From what I understand the feathers will fall out and regrow during their first molt.

I use mineral oil. The same way you are using warm water, I use mineral oil. after gently teasing it out of the feathers I use a gentle soap and water solution to get the oil off. Finally I use plain warm water to get the soap off. I only do this when it’s a particularly messy eater and plain warm water “scrubs” won’t work. Also, make sure to only do this in the morning and put baby in a warmer so that it does not get chilled. Hope that helps someone.
