This cockatiel flew down from a tree onto our car ( Not very well) and crash landed. After a while we finally managed to catch it so we started asking around to see if anyone had lost a cockatiel near us but haven’t found it’s owner. If no one claims it we will keep it. It’s drank a little water and ate a little bit of dried mango and bird feed. It isn’t very tame but isn’t feral either. It’s tail feathers look a little mangled and a bald spot on the back of his head. Does anyone have any idea what caused it, or what type of cockatiel it is I can’t figure out what type it is.

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

This is a pearl cockatiel. You may want to notify your local vet and/or animal shelter/newspaper that you have found a cockatiel, as his/her owner may be looking for their lost cockatiel.

Birds can get pretty far, especially if they're flighted. I think notifying local vets and rescues is a good idea, and you might also try considering reporting the bird to those pet reuniting websites/Facebook groups, especially if there are ones specific to your region (state, province, etc - not sure which country you're in to use the correct terminology).
