Hi everyone! I have a 7 week old tiel named Parker that I really want to start weaning soon. Parker is a messy eater and doesn’t want me to clean his face AT ALL. I do anyway a lot but a lot has accumulated on his feathers near his beak. I tried wrapping him up in a towel earlier and wiping it with a small damp paper towel to get it off but it didn’t work so well, plus he hated it so much. It has to be removed though. Any advice? And is there any way I can start weaning him as soon as possible? I don’t know much about weaning so any advice would be very helpful!

Thanks! -kaylor

I have one the same age, I take him in the shower and soften the formula on his face and then scrape it with my nails, he loves the shower and doesn't mind the face cleaning.
