Hi so I've organised to get a hand raised baby cockatiel in a couple of weeks and my concern is I already have 3 budgies. I am not planning on putting them in the same cage but was wondering if the budgies will be a big distraction to the cockatiel. Like will the cockatiel be trying to be with them all the time and not bond as well with myself. I do have a friend that is happy to have my budgies if I am wanting to rehome them. They are not very tame and are only young so I think they would adjust fine. I also don't want to have to worry about them possibly fighting when they do interact as the budgies like to come out of the cage too. Anyone with both budgies and a tame cockatiel?

I have budgies and cockatiels. When the budgie comes out of cage, my tiels runaway from it. 😂 they seem more annoyed with the budgie more than anything, like when the older kids don’t want to hang out with the younger kids. Lol. My cousin has both budgies and tiels in same cage and they all seem to get along fine. Neither one of her birds are tame either.
