I'm not completely sure but I think they are about 8 weeks old. Haven't decidedon names yet. The one on the right is my boyfriends, he is thinking Sooty. I had a few possible names picked out - Sunny, Zazu, Petrie, Pingu - none of them have stuck yet though. It's hard to name them when you don't know whether they're male or female.
P.S. Thanks everyone they are sweet, though the little one on the left is a little more unsure than the other one so he/she tries to peck at your finger a little bit if you put it near him/her but soon gives in and gets bored of trying to bite heheh
Thanks Yep I'm waiting to see their personalities come out once they're settled. Judging by the pictures of different mutations on various website, I'm guessing we have a cinnamon and a pearl but only time will tell whether they're male or female. I have a feeling the little pearl might be a girl, she's less friendly than the other (she hissed at me just now and has the tendency to peck at you if you try to pat her(him?) or pick her up.
I noticed the post on sexing using the under-wing spots but I haven't had a chance to check under their wings yet...
Congrats on your new tiels checking the feathers at this age wont tell the sex as juvenile and adult females have the same plumage. You have to wait for them to moult before you can visually sex. About 6-9 mo old. Or you can get dna tests.
