Hi,
I’m new to this forum.
I have two cockatiels, one female and one male. The male seems to be infatuated with her. He tries to follow her everywhere in the cage. He tries to sit next to her and eat from her food bowel with her too. However, she always rushes away and opens her beak up at him defensively. The female has a background of being attacked by birds, so I believe she is rushing away out of fear of being harmed.
he isn’t aggressive to her at all, in fact his a complete gentleman. I’m just worried that he might start getting aggressive with her as she ignores him and likes her own space.
I believe that she just needs to spend more time with him to realise that she can trust him. Do any of you have any recommendations? How should I bond them to one another? She is becoming a bit more tolèrent of him now. She is also younger than him.
