Hey everyone, Hercules has recently had a clutch of 8 eggs, all still in cage. Last egg was about 7 days ago. This morning there is another egg and I am worried something is going on.

She recently moved home with us, but settled in really fast and none of her other behaviours have changed.

We had adopted a 2nd tiel, however he has been rehomed elsewhere as he was aggressive and jealous of her, and no matter what we did could not help him. He is now a great bird in the company of other males and is thriving.

There is only 1 avian vet about 5 hours drive, but is there something I should do before I take a trip?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for that. I will have a read. I just wondered would it be very harmful if it did not stop.

Yes, it can be harmful if it doesn't stop. All the materials in an egg have to come from the hen's body, so laying infertile eggs is a waste of her physical resources.
