Well, this is the end of the second week with having two tiels. I'm going to start with an update on Dooby.......I think somebody has replaced him with a more loveable tiel. Honestly, I would not have thought that this much change would have been possible, he is lovely again. He comes to me for his cuddles and head scratches, he doesn't bite, he plays and talks, he is everything that I had before, way back when he was a little boy!! As for her ladyship, well, Daisy has made an impact this week, she stands up to Dooby, she will fly around the room with him and land on me, although she won't come to me yet if I call her, she's done it a couple of times, but not enough for me to think she knows what I want. Today is the first time she has had head scratches, oh dear, I think I am going to have to grow another pair of arms, she loves it and of course that makes the Doobster a tad jealous, but that's ok, it keeps him on his toes. LOL. She is such a good little eater, she will eat anything and everything that I put in front of her, she's had loads of different veggies and fruit, she loves toast as well. Tomorrow is pasta and split peas with lentils, so that will be another "first" for her.
The two of them are getting along so well, it's just absolutely magical and to sit and watch them is brilliant. Dooby was strutting his stuff around her this morning and she was like. "Yeah, whatever, where's the millet?" LOL, it was really funny to watch. They hate being separated, because Daisy won't actually come to me yet, when I call her, I end up with taking Dooby downstairs first, when they go downstairs for a bigger fly around, then they end up screaming for each other. I have to rush upstairs and try and get Daisy to step up and stay with me until I can get her downstairs..it's always a mad panic with loads of screaming. The other day, I had Dooby on one shoulder and Daisy on the other, Dooby obviously lost sight of Daisy, he screamed really loudly in my ear and she answered in the other!! ****, if he'd have just looked in my ear he could have seen her out the other side!!!
Anyway, I won't bore you all with the antics of these two every week, it's just that I wanted to let you know that Daisy is the best thing that has happened in this house as far as Dooby is concerned, they love each other, although there has been no preening or sitting next to each other yet, but I'm pretty confident that will come soon.
