Still waiting for my little babies to be ready to come home........waiting and waiting....
So Sar's what a day post, brought up a good question.
What should we have in an emergency kit for our birds. I need to get one together.

good things to keep on hand in case of emergency:

neosporin or a bird safe antiseptic cream
q-tips
heating pad
heat lamp
tweezers
syringe
flash light
gauze bandage
vet wrap

the vet wrap you shouldnt have to use but in some unusual cases it may be needed. these are what i have in my own first aid kit. if someone else has more to add, that'd be great in case im missing something

Don't forget flour or qwik stop to stop bleeding, this comes in real handy a lot!

I have a bag of flour in their room specifically for them, that way I can get to it fast if needed. Only ever had to use it once so far, thank goodness! O and pedialyte, in case the bird gets sick and is dehydrated and needs some energy.
